Danny Beard, the winner of Drag Race UK’s fourth series, found himself in hot water after using profanity on the Celebrity Big Brother spin-off, Late & Live. The incident occurred during a discussion about house dynamics following the eviction of Gary Goldsmith from the CBB house on Friday, March 8.
While conversing with hosts AJ Odudu and Will Best, Danny inadvertently used the c-word twice, prompting shock and apologies from the presenters. Reacting to their slip-up, Danny covered their mouth in shock and asked, “Can I say that?” Although AJ appeared relatively amused, Will clarified that it was a word they couldn’t use on live television and issued apologies to viewers.
“We are sorry about Danny’s use of a particular word, but it’s done, it’s in the past, and we’re not going to say it again,” stated Will, with AJ adding, “We are sorry about that. That’s the pressure of live TV.”
Despite the mishap, Danny took the incident in stride, even jokingly attempting to leave the studio. The hosts reassured them that the slip-up was forgiven, and the show continued.
Meanwhile, Gary Goldsmith, known for being Catherine, Princess of Wales’ uncle and an entrepreneur, faced eviction in the first elimination of the Celebrity Big Brother series. He was up against Real Housewives of Cheshire star Lauren Smith after just a few days in the house.
After his exit, Gary reflected positively on his short stint in the CBB house, stating, “I’ve had the best of times. The nice thing is, I went in with one agenda and I achieved it in five days so I absolutely smashed it.” He expressed contentment in leaving the rest to the professionals who handle such matters better.
Celebrity Big Brother continues to air Sundays through Fridays at 9 PM on ITV1 and the ITV Hub, followed by Late & Live on ITV2 immediately after each new episode.
